A transparent and centralized database about the housing status across the local bodies in the state is essential for effectively controlling and monitoring all housing activities and programmes in the state. GHIS scheme focuses in preparing a spatially interactive and accurate dynamic database on housing status, which can be utilized to support the agencies for prioritizing housing schemes and housing shortage in Kerala.
